He and the other actors were so disturbed by the real story of the dybbuk box that they worked hard to keep malicious spirits away. Although Morgan described himself as a nonbeliever, he admitted that there were a number of unexplained occurrences on set.

"Lots of lightbulbs exploding," Morgan said. "Just overall kind of creepiness... 'Don't mock the box' was sort of the mantra that we lived by while filming this."
