Well, not literally. This week in Europe, temperatures have hit records highs and the cities are not handling the change well. The heat could get up to 108 degrees, making it the hottest year on record. As one meteorologist put it, “Hell is coming.”

Because the heat is so dramatic, people have been beating the heat in some rather unique ways. No one in the region is used to such weather, and many don’t even have air conditioning in their homes. One German man couldn’t even take wearing clothes!

Others are choosing to relax inside, out of the sun, but it’s easier said than done. A classic way to beat the heat is to fill buckets with ice water and wait out the heat, like this woman did!

While their methods of beating the heat might be hilarious and efficient, hopefully everyone is taking proper precautions to survive the excessive heat this week. At least this is a good reason to eat all the ice cream you can in the next few days!
